Wow. This board has been very informative and I wanted to share my journey. Before reading this board I had 2 Capital One Platinum cards that I consolidated into one with a CL of 2K, a Credit One Visa (1K) and a Credit One MC (500). Late May I received an email that said that I was preapproved for a Lane Bryant card. I said what the heck and applied for it and got approved for $500. Then after reading this board, I reopened my NFCU account in April and in late May I applied for the Go Rewards card and got approved for 5K, the next day I applied for a loan to refinance my car and got approved for that for 18K. I also applied to Barclay Rewards card and was approved for 2K. I have decided that I am not going to apply for anything else and let things grow from here. However, I’m thinking about closing the two Credit One cards and focus on growing the others.
