@ TRC...
It's not that unrealistic when you know that navy counters, so might as well ask for the max for a SP which is $25k, and btw... I've managed my rebuilding very well thank you, and all the cards I have now, were IIB as well, except for my 3 majors I have. I think it depends on ones over all credit profile, and how motivated they are. I burned GE and Comenity bad in BK, and yet they have me cards 3months afterwards again, the same cards too. I was aggressive in my rebuild, and btw... Navy increased my card from $500 CL to $10k after only 3 monthsnothing in the credit game is unrealistic.
Cool.
Getting toy limit cards from subprime lenders burnt in a BK happens every day... Not all that uncommon.
Getting a $25k limit from any lender less than a year out of BK7 is what I was talking about when I said it was unrealistic.
CU's are pretty forgiving... As long as you didn't burn them.
Banks are much more difficult to crack.
when i initially app'd they declined me, I sent a letter with the payment plan the biz has with the state and they approved me as an "exception" (their words) in March. They also indicated " It is advisable to establish a history of at least 6 to 12 months on your account."
So I sent a nice response back reminding them this is a business sales tax lien under a payment plan and asked if they woudl recon for a CLI of $5k to put me at $10k, same as my Barclay Arrival card. Waiting to hear back, but I do not have my hopes up...
WAHOO!!! I just received an SM from NFCU - they reconsidered and approved me for a $5k increase to a total Cl of $10k!! NFCU is the best!!
