Congratulations on the CLI and Amex approval!! Did you see that card come up on the Prequal before pulling the trigger?
@MrZero Super Congrats on your Amex BCE approval!!!
Congrats on your Navy love and Amex approval !
Thanks, I'll see what happens after I get the letter from NFCU, I already sent a message before realize I'd have to wait until it arrives to actually do the recon. I'll laugh out loud if it does turn out that I hit my max unsecured limit because of the CLI.
I should've added the other thing that lead to me apping now was time to hit the SUB requirement stretched to six months which is good because I probably wouldn't in three without prioritizing the card for everything along with buying a lot on Amazon. I'm still going to favor my Discover where it gives a better bonus when the cash back match is factored in though with the PC that's only going to be resturants for the next three months, also a bit over two weeks away from when potential graduation starts. I do wonder if Amex would've given a higher starting limit if I waited until after my new CR limit was reported.

Congrats on the approvals and the upcoming new PC build! Wish mine would have waited for me to get my new cards before clunking out on me! But hey, shiny new build is always fun.
Yep, I'm way past due for a new PC build, last full build I did for myself was back in May of 2011, last significant upgrade I did was back in 2016 with a new video card.

Yeah, it was the one that consistently came up when checking their prequalied page since I started checking it months ago. I think the other two were the Amex Green and Platinum charge cards which have been coming up more lately.

Recieved my BCE today along with the letters from Navy, here's the key factors that adversely affected my account though most of them aren't surprising also the primary reason my application was turned down.
"YOU'VE REACHED NAVY FEDERAL'S MAXIMUM UNSECURED CREDIT LIMIT"
I guess that mere increase from $1K to $3K was enough to trigger it after all. My internal limit has gone up from 324 to 337 and the "key factors" adversely affecting my credit score are as follows.
Average credit limit of open credit cards reported last 12 months.
Limited Credit Experience
Number of open satisfactory accounts that are 24 months or older
No real estate accounts reported
Number of inquiries on credit bureau report
The first three are no surprise and I'll wait until at least February before even thinking about trying again, maybe even April so my Cash Rewards card also ages a year, at least by January my Disco (hopefully unsecured for months at this point) and CapOne (which will be residing in a drawer) will be a year old as will two of my HPs. The real estate one I know is the lack of mortgage information which I've seen listed on some of my other FICO scores. I was at three inquiries with one being from last October that is Sync/PayPal for Bill Me Later that I didn't even realize was a hard pull at the time, the second was from late December and the last being for my CR in April until the fourth this month.
Now, with the CLI there's four key factors, three are pretty much the same as above and since I got the 3x increase not a huge deal but there's one that's just making me say "really?"
Too many accounts with balances.
????
Aside from my SSL, the last reported balances across my cards totaled $6 or $7 at the time they last soft pulled my score, is three out of four cards (fourth at this time being AU I don't use) carrying a small, single digit balances really enough to adversely affect my score?
Anyway, my BCE (which I do kind of wish I held off until next month for) also arrived today, three days before the estimated date. It's going to be rivaling my Disco as my primary driver since it'll at the very least get 100% of my grocery store spending and I'm going to take advantage of that $5 back (up to $50 total) on purchases of $10 or more fror local businesses, maybe not getting 90% of my attention will make Miss Disco a little jealous in the coming months.
