I applied for a NFCU CLOC for $5k this weekend and was approved. So I thought hey why not try for a credit card, I heard they offer high CLI's and easy approvals.
I applied for the GoRewards and received a systems error message, tried several times then waiting till the following morning where I received a you will receive a response in 24 hours. I also tried for the CashRewards during the systems error and also received a 24 hours message after reapplying.
I checked within a few hours that following morning and saw in the pending consumer loan application page that they were both denied. I never received any sort of communication from NFCU on the decision and discovered this on my own. I even spoke with a specialist via phone about the system errors and she also stated I was denied so I would receive a letter stating why in a few business days.
Well I log into my account today...
I have a GoRewards account with a $4.5k limit listed along with all of my accounts, it even has a $12 charge on it for the FedEx rush delivery on the card which I opted for on my applications. 18% APR
Can I get a WOOT?! This is my highest CL card, with my next highest being Discover IT @ $1.9k, even my BoA card I have had for 7 years only has a $1k limit.
These two approvals from NFCU are about to sky rocket my credit score and decrease my utilization like crazy.
Any have this happen to them? This is crazy, I haven't even received a approval message, text, call or anything. I have only received 1 hard inquiry through the two applications for CC's and 1 application for the CLOC all in a 24 hour window.
How soon should I request a CLI?

NFCU usually like to see 91-95 days and after 3rd statement has cut to apply for CLI

Congrats!!! I saw a big increase in my score when the account hit my reports. They definitely will grow with you and suprise you at the same time

First, I want to say a big congrats to the OP for both the card, and LOC. Did you have to show proof of income for the line of credit? Do you use their checking account as your main checking account?

Total80sKid, what do you mean you missed joining it? They haven't stopped accepting applications! 
I'm not familiar with the newer "easy" way in, but Im sure someone can direct you to the thread. Or if you like a challenge, you may be able to do like I did and convince a chain of family members to sign up until it gets to you, or if you live with anyone, try to have them do the same. I dont think it's too late for you, friend,. Unless you had something on your end happen that precludes you?
