NFCU...I am just getting started.

I walked into my local branch and joined NFCU today.  I am excited about the possibilities.  I plan to apply for a car loan and credit card on Monday.  I just set up my online account.  I will place updates after my approvals.  Any further advise is  greatly appreciated...

Welcome to the Navy Federal family. I joined back in June through my association with the Navy League.

So far I'm very impressed with them. I have a CLOC of 500 and a cash rewards Visa with a 14k limit. I'm being very conserative with my credit as I'm working on either building a new house in 2018 or doing a major remodel.

I closed on my house today.  I was also preapproved for my car loan through NFCU for $54,000.  I am sure I will be able to find something within that amount.  I app'd for several cards that I have been waiting to apply for: Marvel approved $6,000; Sam's Club Mastercard, approved $8,000; Discover IT approved $5,500, and NFCU Cash Rewards approved $15,900.  No more cards for me, I will hit the garden until next year.  Total credit achieved for today was $35,540.  My FICO scores are the same as below.

Tomorrow I will begin looking for my car, yeah!

I have been a member for 12 years.. have only recently as of the last three years started to take advantage of my membership. Let me tell you that there are some great advantages...

I recomend the GO rewards card.. I have the Flagship and the Go rewards card but the points go farther with the Go Rewards and there is no annual fee. They are both Signature cards now so thats awesome.. 3 times the points on dining out and 2 on gas.. really cant beat that. Also they have LOWERED my interest rates twice in less than 6 months. I have also requested CLI twice and have been granted them (in the last six months). My current interest rate for my Go Rewards is 14.25%... Thats really good for a Credit card in my opinion considering chase offered my G/F who has a Fico Score of 742 19.5%.
