It's been nearly two years since I got my Flagship Rewards card (SL was $24k, current CL is $35k) and I had the banner for the 30,000 points SUB on this one when I logged into my account on Saturday so I decided to go for it. Went immediately to Review in Process, where it sat for about 30 hours. Around 9:30 last night, I got this email:
I was hoping for a $50k approval, but I can live with $25k. LOL And like my first card, they did approve me for the lowest possible APR on the card. They pulled TU. All of my FICO 08 and 09 scores are in the 800s, income sufficient, AAoA 7-8 years, oldest account 25 years, utilization in the single digits, no baddies ever in my life. Previous relationship limited to the Flagship card which has mostly seen large balance transfers, and a checking account that just gets about $5k in direct deposit distributions each year.
Points will be used for domestic airfare and the card will be sock drawered until eventually closed as I have one or more cards that offer a higher return on every single category for this card, unless any of the Amex Offers for this network card can be used. Offer was 30k points for $3k spend in 90 days. At $60,000 NFCU has now pulled into 3rd place for total revolving credit card exposure for me (behind BoA and Amex).
Congrats K! Awesome SL!
The card should work with Amex network offers from
https://www.americanexpress.com/us/network/shopping.html
There is actually a link from the NFCU site to this one
https://www.americanexpress.com/us/network/navyfederal/morerewards.html which has the link to the network offers.
Enjoy the card, great SUB too!
