NFCU Platinum Approved $500!

This is my first post and I thought I'd introduce myself since I finally realized I can actually join Navy Federal.

I opened a checking and savings account today with them over the phone and went ahead with an application for the Platinum which was approved for $500 with an 18.00% APR! Not exactly something to shout about but my foot is in the door and I had quite a friendly conversation while on the phone and compared to other banks and credit unions they were far nicer than I'd dealt with previously.

Account information at the time of application

• Bureau Pulled: TU
• Scores: EQ 722, TU 733, EX 715
• Inquiries: EQ 5, TU 1, EX 9
• New Accounts: 4/6, 8/12, 8/24

I'm off to garden until all is green.

Update: I thought I would update this since I got some paperwork from them, they list my internal NFCU score as 266 for anyone curious.

18.00% APR, which seems to be the max for their Platinum card so I squeezed by for sure.

It would've been nice to get it lower out of the gate but I PIF normally and only got this card to start the relationship and eventually have a card that would allow me to have a lower APR.

CONGRATS!!!!!

I got the same card in april 1k sl, the last week of this month after my 3rd full statement i can ask for my first cli which i have been told maxes out at 3x if your limit is under 4k. so i can only go up to 3k this go around but the second cli can be 181/6 after that. navy cards can grow fast so dont fret the 500 sl.
