I wasn't supposed to be out of the garden until Oct/Nov but I couldn't help myself.
I apped for the NFCU Cash Rewards and got $8,500 instant approval. My highest limit now. ![]()
Then I got greedy...I was like on a roll... I couldn't control myself... apped for the NFCU Nrewards and got the 3-5 day message. Buzz kill. Hopefully it's just because I apped back to back and they'll say yes.![]()
Edit: They pulled Transunion for my membership and my credit cards. I was expecting them to pull Equifax.
My fico credit score (from Discover) is 620 on Transunion. Transunion has 11 student loans (all paid on times, no baddies), 7 credit cards (all opened in March), 1 6 year old collection for $100ish. Utlization 35%. AAOA 2 years.

My highest limit previously was $3,000 from Sportsman's guide. Utilization - 35% (taking advantage of no interest promo). AAOA 2 years.

Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

Congrats! Yeah I got one of NFCU CC yesterday and I was expecting EQ pull because of everthing I read here and I too got a TU Pull.
CONGRATS on such a great starting CL!!!
when you join navy you should apply for 1 credit card and the checking line of credit (known around here as NavCheck but not called that anymore with Navy) asking for $15k on navcheck.
I would still do that if I was you.
Also if you really do want the 2nd credit card, send a secure message online asking them to take $1k or more from your other credit card to open the 2nd account. (via secure message only!)

Good job and congrats! They also pulled TU for my membership and credit cards. They pulled EQ for the CLOC. I would take CerditAddict's advice.
