Navy Federal second card Approval
So the last two years I have been dedicated to fixing my credit. Joined navy federal through my brother in June. Approved for a $500 CR CC. I applied for a cloc a week later and was denied. On August 30th I tried for the CLoC again and was approved for 2k w/ 4 derogatory marks (hospital bills) on Equifax. September I applied for the shared loan I put $250 to the loan. September 18th I asked for an increase on my CR they gave me $1500. So I applied for a second card and was given 10k on their platinum but switching to their AmEX. Requested an increase on my cloc. No more applying for anything for a while.

Re: Navy Federal second card Approval
Congratulations, and very nice growth with NFCU! 👌🏾
If I'm following correctly, you received your first CLI on the Cash Rewards in 3 months. Just prior to that you received the CLOC, $2k. Curious, how much did you request or was the $2k approval a counter offer? Finally, were you approved for the additional CLOC increase that you mentioned?
Also, excellent choice/timing on the 2nd card! Nice SL.

Re: Navy Federal second card Approval
Thank you! I requested the CLI on my first card on 11/18.. after my 4th statement. They only gave me 1500 ;(
Requested CLoC back in August. Aug 30th to be exact. Asked for 2k the first time and Was approved for 2k. Just asked for an increase to 5k today... it went in review.

Nice! I'd imagine that you'd likely get the $3k bump in the CLOC. Why not blow it out, request the max - $15k, consequently forcing them to tell you the maximum exposure on it? No sense in taking HP after HP for a CLOC given that there is a max, and they counter best offer.
What's your UTIL on the CLOC?

It stands for Debt To Income. It's the percentage you get when you add up all of your monthly bills and divide by monthly take home pay.

Re: Navy Federal second card Approval
I wanted to do that but was scared I’d be denied. I was conditionally approved for the $5 but need to submit poi from last years tax return. That’s annoying I don’t know where to find that
