So when what I thought was my 180 days timeline came up, I requested an increase and got declined. Because apparently I submitted too early according to the agent I spoke to. Waited the next day and tried again. Declined still. Tried calling yesterday but they wouldn't tell me the reason for the 2nd denial over the phone which I thought was odd since an agent was able to disclose the reason for the initial denial. Anyways after I got off that call, I fired off a secured message and this morning I woke up to this response. Card was originally an nRewards that graduated in the beginning of the year. Went from $10k -> $16k and the account hasn't been used in almost 6 months. This is now my highest limit yet. Thanks Navy 😄
Congratulations on your limit increase! As far as you originally being denied for asking too soon, some of us have experienced the same. It now looks like it can take from 186 to 190 days for some to become eligible. Used to be 181 days but there's a few people on here who were denied at 181 days and then approved 5 to 9 days later when asking again. Since that happened to me and my wife we both now just wait 190 days. We've successfully gotten 6 limit increases waiting 190 days since the last increase.
