New member + New Wells Fargo Rewards

Hey everyone just wanted to share my new approval! I really didn't want to app with Wells Fargo but seeing how I have been with them for a very long time (almost 10 years) and they kept sending my invitations via email and on my account log in and they have a ok deal going on with 5% cash back in groceries and gas I decided to pull the trigger! Automatically approved for 8k my new highest limit! My previous was my quicksilver with 2750! I have been reading these forums for a very long time and have received some very useful information! Thanks to everyone that gives any kind of help in anyway! My report as a whole isn't all that great due to high utilization but with this new limit that will be cut down by a lot and I should be in the 700's.( 680) most resent pull with discover statement and capital one credit tracker.

Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.
