Nice little run thanks to everyones information

Long time lurker here who just wanted to take a minute to share a nice little run I have had over the last week thanks to the folks on this forum.

Discover IT $3000

Chase Amazon $4000

Amex BCE $2000 (backdated to 96!)

Amex Everyday $10000 (backdated to 96!)

Chase Sapphire $5000

I only started this road back to rehabilitation in March of 2014 with a cap one secured with a $300 line on a $49 deposit.  My credit was in bad shape from not really understanding back while younger and I just tried to hide from it for years.  Finally got serious about working on it and seems like the work has paid off.  I spent hours reading this site (and others) trying to do this the correct way and have a better understanding of how to utilize the credit moving forward.  I have every card we need now and will still live our "cash" lifestyle but utilizing credit cards in place of cash and paying those off in full as time goes forward.

Again for those like me reading and trying to hide from it, pull your sleeves up and get to work.  It ain't fun, nor easy, but the benefits pay off in the long run.

Thanks again to everyone who has helped me in my journey, I appreciate it!

Congratulations on your awesome success!  I've been through a credit rehab of sort after hiding from it like you.   The big limit difference in the Blue Cash Everyday and the Everday is interesting.    Which one did you apply for first?

Experian: 729 Equifax: 740 Transunion: 732
Capital One Mastercard: $0.4K, Capital One Quicksilver: $5K, Chase Southwest Premier: $7.5K, Amex Blue Cash Everyday: $24.9K, Discover It: $9.4K, Chase Sapphire Preferred: $16.9K, Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve: $7.7K, Arrival+ BarclayCard MC WE: $7.5K

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the run

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Nice little run thanks to everyones information

I found that strange as well.  I applied for the BCE first and was pretty excited I received it, couldn't believe it actually, then a couple of days later went for the everyday card and was instant for the $10000, I was really surprised.  There was about a week in between the two applications.  When i saw that cl i immediately applied for the sapphire as from reading this forum understood they liked to see a higher limit card before giving.

applications in order

amazon visa, amex bce, discover it, week later amex everyday and followed by the sapphire.  Again i am done as I think I have my needs met and will just sit back utilize correclty and watch 'em grow.

all online.  Only time I used any conversation was backdating the cards to 96.  I have the 61 date in my outlook calander to request the cli, I just don't know which one I should ask for the BCE or the Everyday card.

How did you get the AMEX backdated, what did you ask for in particular? I'm an authorized user on an AMEX card, wondering when I apply for my own card can I get it backdated also?
