New member here. Been stalking these forums for months. 
Anyway, I went on a small appspree last Friday (three days ago).
First card: Citi Double Cash approved for $1,200.
Second card: CHASE Slate approved for $1,400.
Then I realized the Nordstrom credit card was one I've always wanted. I immediately regretted applying for the other two before Nordstrom (since I've read they are inquiry sensitive), but went against my better judgment and applied anyway. Application gave me that 7-10 day message. When I called two days later, lady told me it was denied, too many inquiries and something about my credit cards (that I got in 2014 and 2015) being too new and blah blah. I asked if I could be considered for the store credit card. She said no. Lol, but she was nice.
Well I've read many stories of people emailing the EOs, president Mr. Nordstrom himself, etc. I was trying to look for the email adddresses, but I could not find them! SO, I did something I haven't seen done yet, on myFico anyways, I went on their Facebook and sent them a private message.
Not 10 minutes later after they said they'll reach out to their "Credit Supervisor," I got a call from her and approved me for a $1,000 store card! 
I of course will be very eager to get a Visa upgrade in 7 months. I feel like treating this card like a baby to watch it grow. Haha
