OpenSky Credit Limit Increase!!

Something unexpected I noticed this morning. I had a CLI from OpenSky when I looked at my account summary. I initially gave them $200 because it's a secured card. I recently asked the community if I should close the card because of the AF & I'm trying to rebuild my credit. I read that someone called in to get it cancelled and they waive the AF. I did the same thing last month and boom. They waived it. Next month I will have had the card one year. But.. I didn't think that secured cards gave out CLI's. Especially one like OpenSky. They gave me a $100 extra CLI.

Yes, there are a few that give unsecured increases. I believe $300 is their max credit line though.

Serious RED LETTER DAY indeed! I have my first 🤩 rebuilding CC through them. I had no idea then that it never graduates. Still, I'm grateful. I secured mine for $700. If $300 is the limit, I won't be seeing anything. If they'll waive the AF, I'm planning to keep it another year while I'm in my first 2 years of establishing TL's I'll want to keep LT so my AAoA doesn't a significant hit years later.

Congratulations 🎉 to that breakthrough CLI from OpenSky. Who knew? 💁🏼‍♀️ 🥳🥳🥳🍀

Re: OpenSky Credit Limit Increase!!

So do they just waive it for the year or did they remove the AF indefinitely?

@kittycreditmeow @They did waive the AF for me when I was going to cancel. So I decided to keep it another year Smiley Happy
