Enjoy getting the sub 20% apr thats still awesome to see. In 5 years plus, ive never seen a quarterly offer and if i ever get one, im winning Powerball lol. Dont think i would  apply for a secind Gold card as im pretty good with some low  apr CU cards, but as your profile improves you will get lower spr cards too. Its probably possible that if you get snother offer and its approved perhaps they taker lower apr as the main. I just remember asking once but they said i would have to reapply and hope to get a lower  apr. My main problem is my debt so even though my score is ok, i never really get best rates. Again enjoy this great accomplishment.  Keep building your relationship with PF and it will pay off

17.99% is the highest they offer, but it's the lowest of any of my cards (not counting newer cards that are still in the 0% introductory period).

True. I've used it, thinking "there's gotta be a catch here somewhere." Nope. I couldn't figure out a way to take the money directly from the card to my Wells Fargo checking account. So I transferred it from the Gold card to that $5.00 PenFed savings account, then from there to my Wells Fargo checking account 30 seconds later.

Congratulations on your Gold approval!  I just got my Gold approval last Friday!  $7,500 SL and 11.99 APR on purchases. Now for a little background...I am currently 3.5 years in a chapter 13. I do not plan to use this credit line for any  balances as we're not allowed to have any credit card balances until post Ch 13. I tried for the Power rewards card the next day but it was declined, if anyone was curious about a 2nd card approval within the same timeline. Also, i was approved for a $500 credit line for my checking account the same day. I have been a PenFed member since 2013 but never app'd for any of their products has back in the day, they seemed to be quite hard to get according to a lot of reviews I read online back in the day.
