I also applied for FNBO and was approved $5400 Sl 23.49% but like I read daily, the apr could be 100% since I will PIF! Lastly, I think this is bc I was greedy....I then used the preapproval Cap One link and it came back saying I was pre-qual for QS, Savor One or Plat. I have read on this forum so much about this so I veered away from Plat and ended up choosing Savor One. Yeah, congrats it says.....for $500 SL (my fault for being greedy I suppose, but does that low SL signify that they hold onto old vendattas, even paid ones???) Regardless, I am feeling awesome. Thank you again guys!
That savor one is an excellent card, 3 pct cb on groceries
@SUPERSQUID so you like the Savor? For the 3% cb I assume? What do you make out of the SL of $500 with it? I did have previous Cap One cards in the past that I did burn them on, but also paid them both in full. On one they even updated my TL to says all 18 monthly payments were current, acct in good standing and closed by credit grantor. The other was a Kohls cap one that I also paid in settlement but for less. This one dropped off my CR last month and the Cap One above it still on my CR for another 7 years as it is a closed good acct. Just wondering about the vast differences in SL. But then again, I am also grateful they were also approved and not a denial as in previous years. Thank you for any advice on the Savor card since you have one and like it.

500 is a good starting limit for groceries. the first cli at 6 months is almost a given with cap 1, so it will be higher soon. as far as sl's, they are always a mystery, you never know. i have seen people get thousands more than me on sl's of the same card and their profile is worse than mine. i learned to be happy with whatever they give me.

Good point. It is, afterall, a SL and not a denial! Thanks again for the details @SUPERSQUID and others!

Next you will sign a few documents with them. i remember they sent me emails on the consecutive 2 days after i was approved with a link to their portal and instructions on how to sign the documents. keep your eyes peeled for emails from them.
@SUPERSQUID Thank you so much, i am grateful for your advice. It always helps hearing from others on next steps!! May I ask, are you happy with your SL and PenFed overall? Any other advice for this newbie PenFed gal?? TY so much!
Sorry, somehow i missed this post.
I only have the Penfed PCR 4 months so far but i think its a good card. my gripes are funky language that leaves you guessing whether to use the card after a balance transfer and the balance transfer system itself with them is difficult. the pluses, solid sl and 2 pct cash back, im a vet but now i understand as long as you have any checking account with them you also get 2 pct cb

@SUPERSQUID no worries, please don't apologize. I am forever grateful for any reply! Yes, that is what I read up on and researched. I believe as long as you are the holder of both the PCR CC and on the checking account and you maintain a $500 balance or have direct deposit of at least $500 monthly then one qualifies for the extra .5% rewards. I feel like a giddy kid that is finally getting approvals with good CC's and after going through a terrible credit history and working on my credit diligently and deliberately, knowing that having good credit cards and good credit is a privledge and it is MY responsibility to use my credit wisely and not to repeat my prior mistakes. It's such a good feeling to not have bad credit, honestly, it is really is!! You too, keep rising and reaching your goals! TY to myfico forum as well!!!
Congrats on your PenFed approval! 🎉
