Recent CLIs

I applied for a Navy FCU CLI 91 days after my last increase, and didn't get it. When I sent a message, they said it has to be 90 from account opening but 6 months between CLIs after than. So I asked for $15k (from $7k) recently (just after 6 months had passed) and got it (maybe I should've asked for more to see how much they're willing to give).

I asked for an Apple CLI 91 days after my last increase and didn't get it (something about not enough time). I asked a few days later and got +$4k.

I asked CapitalOne for CLI on my SavorOne (I recently had more spend since I added my wife as an AU for a bonus of $100 after she puts $1k through her new AU card). I still got denied with: "A credit limit increase is currently not available upon request because Capital One is evaluating account activity at assigned credit limits. Recent use of this account's existing credit line has been too low."

Just asked for a CLI on my PayPal Credit line and was denied.

Just asked for Kohl's CLI and got +$1k.

Just asked Victoria's Secret and got +$750

Navy FCU More Rewards $7k -> $15k

Apple $11k -> $16k

SavorOne denied

PayPal Credit denied

Kohl's $2k -> $3k

Victoria's Secret $1,450 -> $2.2k

(all soft pulls)

Re: Recent CLIs

Congrats on all of your CLI success! As a note, all recent reports from MyFICO show Navy giving 8k as the max for CLIs currently so you weren't far off from what you could have gotten.

Re: Recent CLIs

Nice run of CLIs, grats to them all!!!!

That excuse from Cap-1 used to infuriate me, got it enough times that I finally shut down the last bankcard with them. I still have the Walmart store card at 7K and I will never be asking for a CLI dont need it.

Yeah. I am also frustrated with Capital One too. All my cards now are officially bucket cards for few years now but I couldn't cancel them since they all have long history and the oldest 19 years+ and the other two 14 years +. I think by now it is around 5 or 6 years with continous CLI denied requests. I have to check again. It doesn't matter how much I spent and PIF the Capital One automatic credit system still wouldn't approve me for a CLI. However, I am alright with them as long as they not DLI on me or closed my accounts. That would be terrible. I am simply use them to grow credit history but leaving small balance and pay them back slowly above minimum. My APR is so low so I don't mind.
