Recent apps and CLI increases

Hello

I've been coming over to the forums for years to gain knowledge and seek advice. I've had credit ups and downs over the past 10 years and after a divorce made a conscious effort to raise and maintain my credit scores.

I have tons of lates and a barclays CO that still have about 3 1/2 years to go  before falling off.....I've tried gw but no go.

My AAOA is at 5 years and I opened several new accounts last year with low limits

With responsible use and age I've been able to get increases on a few cards plus open 2 new cards with pretty decent limits:

Williams-sonoma Visa- Oct 2020

Approved 1.5k cli to 3k right before transferring to cap 1

Navy Federal plat Dec 2020

Approved 1k cli to 3k after 91/3 cli to 9k at 180 days

Navy Federal cash rewards Oct 2020

Approved 1k cli to 3k after 91/3 cli to 5.5k at 180 days

Pen Fed PSR Aug 2021

Approved 3.5k

HSBC- opened checking Oct 2020 to take advantage of $200 sign up bonus

Approved Oct Gold Mastercard 6k (highest limit at time of approval)

Approved September 2021 3k personal loan (paid down to 1/2 immediately after loan funded)

Approved Oct 2021 Advance World MC 8.2k

The highest approvals pulled EQ which is my highest score at about 660. TU is 655 and EX is my lowest at 640.

I have 9 inq on EX, 4 on TU and 6 on EQ

My journey still continues as my lates and charge off is still holding my score down quite a bit but I'm 360 degrees from where I was this time last year. It helps that my oldest account is 15 years old (cap 1 2.8k limit with not one cli approved since 2019). My AAOA has taken quite a hit as well

I was denied Costco Citi last week due to charge off and tbh this is the only other card I would like to have...time will help with that one.

This forum helped me with my card picks that netted me higher limits with lower than average scores

💚

@Nikiamarie74   Congrats!

HSBC seems to really like you! I was just looking at their Premier Checking yesterday, looks like that will stay with HSBC but many other things are transitioning out of HSBC and to other banks. Any idea how that will affect you?

Congrats again!

Re: Recent apps and CLI increases

@greatscott85 I recently received word that my account is being moved to Citizens Bank. This was my main reason for wanting to expand my relationship into loans and CCs. Hopefully once the move is complete I will be able to maintain a good relationship with Citizens who have a bigger footprint than HSBC here in So Cal
