Recent haul: Discover It Cashback & Amazon Prime Store card approval

i'm in the process of replacing some AF, subprime cards I used during my 2-3 yr rebuild. I figure i should start replacing them sooner rather than continuing to keep these low limit, AF cards that don't offer any benefits. Recently pulled the trigger to apply for Discover and Amazon cards..did the preapprovals and was approved for $3k on Discover and $2.1k of Amazon card. Any data points on how to grow these cards quickly/general usage?
