+1 Agreed
Questionable credit reasoning if that's the only reason to apply for the product. Amex BCE with no credit history is impossible unless OP was an authorized user on some else's account(s) prior to the application. Even more curious given the income requirement.
Just gonna use latest reply to reply cause idk how else to do it lol
Well I might have been an Au back when I was like 12 or 13 but I don't think that would really count, my parents did give me an Amex platnium with my name and everything back in the day and I did use it a couple times. But shortly after my parents filed for bankruptcy so wouldnt that have a negative effect on my credit? I also have like 1500 in unpaid student loas from my first semester but it's only been like 2 months. As for income wise I live in Vegas and have a comfortable job working at one of the premier nightclubs/restauraunts there. And in vegas they pay alot more for basic jobs if you get it in a hotel so I make around 45k give or take a year. But I'm probably not going to spend more than I have and I don't want to sound really spoiled or anything but I have almost everything I need at this young age. Only thing I'd probably spend money on is some winter clothes, gas, and the occasional food/movie when I hang out with friends. Also I want to save up for a new car so that's another motivation lol. As for in depth reasoning for why I want the sapphire is that I plan on visting Paris this winter, NYC in the spring, and probably a tour of Italy and some other European countries. So I thought I could start racking up points with CSP before and also during vacation lol. And the no travle fee is a plus too but I do get that on my discover it card so it's not that serious atm. And thanks for the encouraging comments, feedback, and suggestions guys!
so..... did you recon yet? ![]()

You probably want to check your credit report/scores on myfico so you know where you currently stand.
For your level of spending the BCE will likely net you greater rewards than points cards will (for now). Unless you are spending fairly heavily each month, cash back cards are generally the most lucrative.
That being said I'd sit and hang out in the garden while your accounts age
I got approved for my Amex green with six months of good payment history on my cap one starter card, but I was denied for Citi Forward due to lack of credit history.
Seems like an afterthought now, but the safest bet is at least one year of good history for prime card approvals
