I don't have a 2% cash back card so i gave Fidelity Rewards a shot. I applied on Saturday (7/14) morning and saw 7-10. Seconds after that i got an alert that TransUnion was pulled. I waited a few days and called Monday afternoon. Rep said she needed to verify some info. She asked me about previous addresses and what other cards i have. While on the phone i get an alert that Equifax is being pulled. She thanked me for my time and said i would receive a decision in the mail in about 7-10 days. I logged into my fidelity app and saw the card added with a $15.000 limit with $100 bonus after $1000 spend in 3 months. Thanks, Elan!
I still had the itch and wanted the Wells Fargo Amex Propel. It annoyed me that i might not earn rewards through digital wallet, but it's too nice a card to pass up. Now, i have NO relationship with WF. I've never even stepped in one. I applied Monday morning before work. 7-10 message and an alert from Experian immediately. I called an hour later and the rep told me it's not a denial, but pending. He said it was normal and to call back in a few days. I really wanted this card so i called that afternoon and heard that it was denied. The second rep asked for some person info that was on my credit report. Because only my home landline phone number is listed on all 3 reports, she sent me a verification text to my cell that i was calling from. She thanked me for my time and said she will put my app status back to pending. I called later that night for a status update and it was still denied. No problem, I'll call tomorrow. I get to work and call again and the third rep tells me that because i only have one number listed on my report, i would have to call back from that number. Ok, no problem. I understand. It's now Wednesday afternoon and i get home, crack open a beer and call from the landline. I explain to the fourth rep the situation as she looks over her notes. She says she needs so send a confirmation text to my number. Ummm, it's a landline. She puts me on hold and comes back and tells me that she can send a voice message with the code. I agree to some terms and my call waiting kicks in. It's been so long since I've gotten and call while using a phone i rarely use that i was stumbling to answer clunky call waiting lol. I confirm the code and it proved that i was who i said i was. She said to call back in 24 hours for a decision. I didn't think not having a relationship would be an issue or they would have denied me days ago. I called an hour later and status changed from denied to pending. Did i mention that i really wanted this card? I called this morning and hear "congratulations, you have been approved with credit limit of $15000. Your card should arrive in 7-10 business days." AWESOME! Man, that was some ride!
i knew i was going to apply for both of these cards so i got my uti ratio less than 1% a month ago. Reporting a $2 balance on my Amex blue cash preferred out of roughly 100K total limits combined. I had 3 inq on Trans, 3 on Exp, and 2 on Eq (1 hp being for Charles Schwab bank). I got hit with 1 HP on each beaurau for 2 approvals adding 30K in limits. I will meet the bonus spend so I'll get a cool $400 to put into savings. I make 85K a year and with overtime i can see 100K. My highest limit is 39K with discover. 24K Chase freedom. 24K Amex Schwab Investor. 10K Amex blue cash preferred. AAoA 3.7 years. Oldest card 7 years. Scores are below. Deduct 3 from all now, I'll update later, I'm going out for a celebratory burger.
The Citi double cash is on my radar. I could use a MasterCard in my portfolio. But I'll wait for a bonus spend and lock my reports until then.

Congrats on the mighty fine limit!!!
Congrats on both approvals. Yes, that was some ride.
Only question I have is what credit monitoring service do you use? For me, it literlly takes DAYS for an alert to show up. In fact, on July 10th, my EQ dropped 4 points and im still waiting for myFICO to send me the alert

Thanks, everyone. Meanmchine, I have used myfico for a few weeks before cancelling. For me it was complete trash. I use a combo of Experian ID Works and Wallethub. I wasn’t exaggerating when I said the alerts were instant.
