My fiance and I just signed a lease on a new apartment last week for April here in Myrtle Beach, nice community, our first choice too! I was weary about the BK affecting getting approved for a new apartment. Her credit is way worse than mine, we just filed BK for her, so everythng is 13+ months late on her reports, so I put it in just my name. The management said they go strictly off score for the security deposit and no evictions in the last 3 years, 620+ would be minimal deposit of $200, 580-619 - 1 months rent, $855, 579 and below $1200 security deposit. So I got approved with only a $200 security deposit! I was so pumped!!!!
Rooms to go is having their 25th anniversary sale and we really needed a new couch, so we found the perfect one and I tried for the synchrony card which was 60 months no interest. This was the first time trying for synchrony since the BK. I didnt IIB synchrony, but was still denied. 629 experian, 23% util, 7 months poast discharge. But, they said they had 2 other options, one was their in house financing by Acceptance Now.... looked like highway robbery on the interest and fees, the other option was Tidewater. They sent the application and boom, approved for $1000 at 6 months with no interest! Couch was $900 and change with tax and everything shipped on move in date! Very happy with that approval. 6 months in plenty to pay off $900!!!!
