SAKS 5th Ave Mastercard World Elite approved NO HARD PULL

I was trying to get prequalified online, but I kept getting an error stating that my information could not be verified. 

On 11/1 (Saturday) I decided to go to a Saks OFF 5th store close to me. The store manager scanned my DL, and I was pre-approved for $2,900. She asked me if I wanted to continue, and of course I said yes. And was subsequently approved.

I didn't get any alerts from the credit bureau that my credit was checked. Today, 11/7 (Friday), still "NO HARD PULL" has been reported or added to my credit report with EQ, EX, or TU. 

I have the Bread Rewards AMEX $6,350 and the AAA Daily Advantage Visa $4,400 with Comenity. I'm not sure if it's because of my established relation with Comenity or because I applied at the store; either way, I'm happy that I don't have another HP added to my credit report. I have way too many inquiries already.  

I have a chapter 7, so I'm ok with the initial credit line. 

Yesterday, I found out that Saks OFF 5th is closing some of their stores including the one close to me, in January 2026. I'm happy I was able to get this card before they are gone.

Congrats on the new card!

I don't know where you get your news but you might wanna start looking elsewhere. Saks is closing 9 stores out of about 100: hardly the "majoriy of their stores".

Comgrats. 

This has been the case since the Saks card went to Comenity.

I applied in October 2024, soon after Comenity took over. Approved for 8.3K and no HP ever showed up. No HP on CLIs either.
