Applied for a SDFCU limit increase form my 1750 current limit. I got some surprising results.
I declared ch7 in 2018 and discharged in DEC 18.
I have lots of inq. Older ones from back at the start of the rebuild and from a refinance "house" (6 hits from that shizz).
Got a secured SDFCU witha 200 limit and a 13.99% Rate in 2019/2020
Got raised to 750 in 2020 ish. Then 1750 in 2021.
Well I have gotten some other cards and decided to ask for a CLI up to 8k....
Well they came back with a counter of 10k with a new interest rate of 11.24%.....
It was a HP from equifax and then I sent in 1 paystub initially and i got a response back saying im approved for the above info and to send in 1 more check of concurency so I sent in 2 more anyways.
I was shocked to see an amount higher than I Requested and a lower INT rate especially in the current market.
I didnt use the card much but I would use the card a little bit 100-200$ then zelle money to SDFCU and pay it off.
It was not auto instant approved. It was sent in then processed and refered To Consumer and Home equity. Total time was about 36 hours till I saw the limit increase.
Makes me want to apply for a Penfed One. That one has been at 5k since 2020ish. Use that one for the Balance transfers.
For more DP. Make about 58k a year+ more with bonus, stocks etc etc etc.
ch7 2018, lots of aging off INQ. Little debt. House with crap tons of Equity now, and DTI 37%. UTIL hovers 5-8%. UTIL is made up of Amazon Store card, Penfed for Balance Transfer, and Paypal. All 0% Offers. No other cards carrying a load. Fico reported was 719.
When I declared CH7 I didn't have any lates so my score only dropped to about 650 ish and has been on the slow climb up.
