So i took a shot with amex and was approved for the spg! I am very excited but i have a question. I Would really like to take advantage of the promo offer of $3000 spent within the first 3 months but my limit is only 1k. Can i request a cli or do i have to wait the 60 days? thanks in advance
Can request it once you get the card for 3x, but if declined then you must wait 90 days again.. Based on the approval amount I am guessing your score is in the high 600's? Usually 1k CL's appear to have more of an issue getting an intial 3x CLI, but you can try vs. waiting the typical 61 days.. Best bet if declined it as it is only a SP is to pay it off multiples times a month to meet bonus.. Best of luck whichever way you choose!

Don't forget you don't need to have a 3K CL to charge 3K in 3 month's and receive the rewards. You can charge 1K and pay it off 3 times. I've been doing this several of my newest CC's to receive the rewards.
Creditcuriiousity might be right but I have sen some posts and some mods say you still can request after the 61st day if u declined when u first get the card.
