Sad Disco CLI

I've had my Discover card since August 2019. Besides the dismissal increase they gave me when the card graduated to secured, they've shot me down every month I've requested a credit increase. I have enough rejection letters that came through the mail, I can heat my house the entire winter (with the pile of ollo offers). Thought I'd throw another rejection letter on the fire tonight and hit the love button and to my surprise they approved me for a whopping $450 CLI, making my new limit $2200. Yay me.

Congratulations! I've ridden that long, slow Disco love train. Talk to AJC. You might have better success asking every 6 months, instead of monthly.

Agree on this!

@Grizzly1- while it may not be what you expected, it wasn't a denial. Obviously, we don't know how you use the card nor have an idea of what your overall profile looks like, but at least Discover said YES vs 'no chance'. It's the little 'wins' sometimes that make the difference.

Re: Sad Disco CLI

Don't knock it.  I got back in with Discover last December with a $3k limit (after a charge off and settlement about 7 years ago).

My first CLI was for 500.  A month later they gave me 1500.  Then last month they gave me another 1000.

So you never know with Discover...the next CLI could be just around the corner.  Hopefully, this is the case with you, too.

CONGRATS !!!!!

Try not to think negative about the cli, look at it from the view that they are starting to warm up to you. this may just be the start of something good.
