Sallie Mae

So sometimes I feel like reading this site makes me apply for way more cards than I should. I get the itch like we all do.

I usually don't apply for many cards but this year I did 4. In October I applied in order: NASA FCU Cash Rewards, Amex Everyday backdated to 2006 to offset aaoa and then Fidelity Amex.

So I was just browsing like usual and came across another Sallie Mae thread. Finally applied and instantly approved 10K World Master. This is my last card I'm applying for. I don't need anymore cards I already have so many. No store cards though, all prime. But I guess 5% on first 250 on gas and groceries will come in handy.

Does anyone know how we apply the cash rewards to the now owned Navient student loans? Thanks!

Re: Sallie Mae

Sallie Mae had a line on their site that Barclays would soon offer an option to transfer to Navient accounts.  I contacted Barclays asking when that would be available, and they just punted.  Here is the response:

Thank you for contacting us regarding your Sallie Mae MasterCard.  We certainly understand your inquiry regarding the rewards program on your account.

At this time, we do not have any additional information about the transfer of your rewards to Navient. In order to provide you the best service possible, please contact Sallie Mae at 1-888-272-5543, Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET and on Fridays from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. ET. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you have any other questions and concerns, please reply to this message.

Sincerely,

Customer Care

Re: Sallie Mae

Thank you SayHey for the reply. I hope they figure it out. A statement credit isn't that bad though.
