This was my first request with Wells, I didn't shoot for the moon asking for anything big.
The CSR explained how it worked and for me she asked my income and housing cost and said it's a soft pull.
They would counter if my asking amount wasn't approved. Appearantly, it only goes to underwriting with a hard pull if they can't approve on the front end...
I told her I wasn't going to request any if it was a upfront hard pull...
Also, don't know if being a customer changes the procedure..

I've had both cards since January 2023 and been a Wells Fargo customer since 2018 with both checking and savings.
Scores are just under 700 across the board...
I also have a Truist card since January as well... Is it worth a shot calling them for a CLI as well?
Congrats on your increases, especially Wells Fargo. I've been working on getting a Wells Fargo SP CLI for a bit after my last SP CLI was a couple of years ago, yet they always want to do a HP pull, which I can't allow right now.
