No offense OP but, I suppose if you don't mind hearing "no" ten more times and short of sounding desperate (given your profile) then give it a whirl.

Harassing CCC's is good clean fun when you don't get your way!

So will an epic 50x hearing the same answer of "no" do it or should the OP just get a clue.  But, there's always a fine line (such as in this scenario) between persistence and desperate.  All things considered, I suppose rejection for some folks is hard to take.

Re: Should I let It Go?

Ok soooo, tje analyst i spoke with (#5) told me that Discover analyst could not overturn a decision if it was based on you credit report. Wow. But on a side note she was extremely pleasant, lol. She stated that this was practiced in the past but because of strict fair credit laws they could no longer reverse a credit decision. This isbyet another sign to stay my a $* in the garden for a while. Kudos to all who posted to help me out!

I don't care about rejection, Lol.

I was desensitized to it when I took a phone sales job 4 years ago. Smiley Tongue

The money sucked.

Well, looks like the OP has already contacted them 5x, same answer.  I guess this is really adding up to some great value at the end of the day.

Re: Should I let It Go?

@Finstar No my friend trust me, I got a clue at the 1st no. It just seemed as though a few inquiries was an easy rejection to get reversed.

Re: Should I let It Go?

Inquires seem to be the easiest to get overturned, new accounts and bad are harder to explain away.  Inquires can be car shopping, mortgage shopping (albeit you are a student) and other such things.   I would hang the hat and garden though

Re: Should I let It Go?

@FinStar, lol. Yeah the value is I'm done app'ing for a while. And that equals more positive responses in the future. I'll take care of what I've already been approved for and come back stronger.

Oh no worries mylifenow.  There are instances where some lenders can make exceptions in reconsidering a decision if your profile warrants it and if the system decision can be overriden.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained.  Discover is just one of those lenders that is tough to crack especially with system-declined decisions (under very extenuating circumstances get overturned).  I think you are following a good path to position yourself in better light for them to get approved.  This way, your profile is given better consideration without requiring a co-applicant or being secured.
