I had the Amazon store card about a year ago, used it for a few purchases and paid it off, a month or two later was approved for the Chase Amazon card so I closed my store card. Tonight I figured I'd apply for it again because it does have decent 0 percent interest deals and even if I don't use it my utilization will benefit.
I apply and get denied haha. My TU score is almost 100 points higher now than it was a year ago when I was approved with a $600 limit. I figured this was a sign that I really need to stop this spree that I'm on. Figured I'd call to recon just for laughs. I give the rep the application number I was given when I was denied, she asks for the last four of my social for security purposes, and then immediately says "congrats you're application is approved with a $1,200 limit"
HAHA, WHAT?! She didn't ask me a single question about my application or circumstances. Too funny, what a bizarre call, if only all "recon" calls were this easy! The other Synchrony card I was just approved for, Wal-Mart, was initially approved for $1,100 the other day, I asked for 3k and it was approved so I'll attempt to get this limit bumped to 3k as well tomorrow. Just couldn't believe this call, so unusual.
