For all of the data indicating Citi's conservative approach and possible tightening of strings in the current economic circumstances, I'm surprised that they were able to instantly approve a $5500 CLI from the app.  I use this card very sparingly as the rewards structure isn't fantastic - 5k spend in 90 days to hit the sub, and now pretty much $100 or less on monthly subscriptions that are always paid in full prior to statement date.

Out of curiosity -- when you requested the CLI, did the app allow you to specify a particular amount or just ask for "an increase?"  If so, how much did you ask for?
