Wow, congrats! Breaking 200k. I'm impressed.
And here I am debating whether to break 5k by bumping my $500 limit card to $1k. If it ain't broke don't fix it I suppose. ![]()
And @AverageJoesCredit at 256k? Wow. I remember when your limits were close to mine. I guess I decided to just loiter at the starting line instead of joining the race.

@macinjosh wrote:Well, I asked for CLI's on my eBay MC, Amazon SC, and PayPal Credit.
eBay: $6,800 --> $10,000
Amazon: $9,000 --> $10,000
PayPal Credit: $6,800 --> $10,000
That's a total of $7,400 in more credit. Brings me to $204,000 in TCL's. I broke the $200k milestone, and on my way $250k. Talk about a wild ride that last 3 years have been.
$26,300 in 6 days. Insane!

I will send a Congratulations in a few moments... right now I still can not believe what I read...
I know. I still can't believe it myself. From $0 credit to $204,000 in 35 months. Now to make sure I do something to pay off the just under $21k I owe so I don't lost all my credit again.

Congrats but keep a close eye , my DH got increases across the board with synch in November and December then end of December closed them all over 100K🙄
Mine are intact but I am not gonna ask for any increases , not sure if that triggered it or just a coincidence , but I am not rolling the dice .

For me, having this much credit isn't because I want to spend that much and run up that much debt. In fact, spending that much isn't even a temptation at this point. It's seeing how far I can go, what my ceiling is.
Back in 2009, I lost $60k in credit because I couldn't afford to pay my bills because the economy went under. Part of it was because I was owed almost $10k by someone else, and they never paid me back. The other part was my uncontrollable spending. Then work stopped, and everything crumbled.

My cap is $40k because I have 4 Sync accounts. I don't see me going after any other Sync cards for the time being. My next targets are Amex, BofA, and Chase, so gardening is essential now.

I don't trust myself to control my spending so I keep my limits low on purpose. Plus, why have it if I can't use it?
The upside is I PIF every month and haven't paid a dime in CC interest in years. I use my cards for everything I can so I can earn cash back. So my approach does work, for me anyway. I just have to watch from the sidelines as people's TCLs break 100k, 200k, and higher.

I don't trust myself either, but I'm learning a hard lesson because I'm an impulse buyer. Always have been. But I'm learning, and have now stopped the impulse spend.

Congratulations on your Synchrony CLIs!
Not bad, grats on them all though I would stop and let all this age for awhile ![]()
