Whatever else you have to suggest, I'm all ears.
If you can get your score up 10 points or so and you don't have a ton of recent inquiries, go for Barney's card!
Also call Credit Solutions every 4 months for Wal-mart Card. Wait until after your 4th statement cuts however and after you make a payment, and make sure your utilization is low. Ask for 15k, and they will counter.
Use your secured Discover a lot and they shoudl CLI you eventually. I have a regular Discover, not secured, but Discover loves lots of use and large payments.
I don't have experience with Lowe's, but read the thread for Lowe's as a lot of people have had great success.
Keep your overall utilization down as much as possible.
Bets of luck! You are doing great!
Barneys sounds nice, but there aren't any in Texas. As for Lowes, I will be coming up to 2 months with the card and have gone from $500 to $6500. I'm working my way to up $10k. My last increase with Walmart was recent, so I'll have to wait for September. As you pointed out, utilization is important and that should be my focus continuously. Please continue to give sound advice to people like me who are starting over in the credit game, it is greatly appreciated.
You can use Barney's online at both Barney's Warehouse (heavily discounted) and Barney's itself. We don't have a Barney's in our state either. Pizza just got a Barney's CLI to 31k!
Hang int hre, you are doing great! Happy to help and I will let you know if I think of anything else.
Wow! Nice limit. Guess I need to see what Barney's has. Again, thanks for your help.
Congrats on your cli!
