Target Red Card upgraded to a Mastercard plus CLI

I came back to this forum to see when I had posted my original approval for the Target Red Card and that post was on 7-5-2018.

Today in the mail I randomly received a letter stating that they are upgrading me to a Target Mastercard and increasing my credit limit to $4,000. Last I checked I believe my previous credit limit was $1600.

So it took about 2.5 years for me to be upgraded from Red Card to Mastercard. I don't use my Red Card frequently but I do use it at least a few times a year. Last time I used it was this past Black Friday in 2020 when I purchased an iPad. I took two months to pay it off but was not charged interest in the second month, I have no idea why but maybe there was some kind of holiday promotion for that.

The APR for my Mastercard will be 22.90% so I don't envision using it often unless it's for something I can pay off right away.
