Your most recent line up is pretty decent since you almost doubled the amount of overal credit capacity. Slow and steady wins the race, plus you don't want to attract a lot of attention with other lenders. Give your file some time to breathe. It's all about having a good strategy.

How do you make70k at 20? I was working atkfc?
I used to work in a restaurant and quickly learned that is not what I wanted to do.. Instead of waiting for an opportunity I made one for myself. I work in sales/underwriting for a bank, I have worked very hard to be where I'm at. I was raised by a single mother who went to law school while raising me so I guess I learned a lot from her. I won't let my age get in the way of my dream.

Lot older than you, though caught in the 2007, 2008 financial thingy, so lost job. Consequently on the rebuild path (sorta like building from the beginning).
I have strategy, with two cards I have, then apply at certain months for other cards (after getting one to the WMC/VS levels). Also gives me time to see which cards are nerfed in bennies, and back up plan if denied, so don't waste too many hard pulls. Having had the patience to rebuild, and paying attention to current medical obligations, other bills, this gives me the patience to work on one to two cards at a time. Don't need everything at once, don't want too many cards in my wallet (purse/drawer), never did store cards (though I do have one they talked me into in 2007). Best way to build thick profile is up to 6 credit cards, and some installment loans. Then the world is yours. (oh, and time, time, time).

That's great. I really have wanted to have a job like that for a long time. I even saw a job position opening at PNC bank but I'm not sure what experience I'd need to get hired at a bank.

I started from the very bottom of the food string, doing simple jobs around the office. Eventually got on the phones, that's when my boss saw my potential that I could sell. Since that I have just been raising through the ranks. The only thing about working for a bank are the hours, sometimes I feel like all I'm doing is working.

Thanks, in addition to my cards I've had 4 installment loans.. 3 paid/closed and 1 open/paying as agreed.

I admire your determination! Not enough self-made people around anymore. It seems now like it's all about what degree you have and where you went to school.
I'm glad there's still people around like your boss who can spot a winner when they see one. Congratulations on your achievements and I hope for nothing but the best for you.

That explains all the nice women surrounding me just after my back surgery.
Oh wait, those were nurses.

I'll definitely keep your story in mind as I continue to try to get some kind of internship or something like that. Got my resume all typed up and posted but just haven't gotten anywhere yet with that. Not even sure if my college education is gonna be enough.
