Unfroze my reports while apartment shopping...haven't found anything yet but that's another story.

Got two pre-approved offers online.

• Ollo Rewards: Preapproved on Experian website which had me at 660 (v8): $1K
• Mercury Mastercard: Showed **oustanding** odds on Credit Karma with a $4K credit limit presented in advance: Approved for the $4K, TU FICO is 640-ish with a disputed account that was IIB but not reporting correctly (another story for another post)

Heard these were decent rebuilders. No AF and thrown in the safe.

Great start on your road to recovery.

Been there myself and my unsolicitated advice is to not go crazy with styarter cards. Get a couple and let time heal all wounds.

Though while it sounds like it worked out for you, the Credit Karma assessments are marketing not reality. The FTC just ruled against them, saying 1/3rd of those who were pre-approved were denied.

Ollo was acquired by Ally Bank earlier in the year. There might be some changes in store.
