Wasnt sure if this was common knowledge, so if it is, apologies!
Today I decided to take a look over my current rotation of cards since its a new quarter. In doing so I realized how cumbersome it is to juggle 12 cards around. I found myself using the wrong card for differnt categories last quarter as well. I also recently tripled my income going into a new career so the straight cash back became less and less appealing since I already make good money now. Not to mention the simplicity of using just 1 card for everything.
My long-time girlfriend has had the AMEX Gold Card for over a year now and I decided to take a look into it more today. I did some calculations and realized with my same spending over the last 12 months, I would have earned more (albeit slightly) on the Gold Card even with the annual fee vs what I'm currently doing juggling 4-6 cards at a time. I had her send me the referral link to see what the offer is and here it is:
She gets an additional 30k pts upon my approval, and in addition to that she also gets an additional 5x points on restaurants for the next 3 months, up to $25,000 spend cap.
I get a 90k welcome offer for $4000 spend in the first 6 months in addition to 20% extra cash back on restaurants in my first 12 months up to $250 cap.
Just wanted to throw this out there in case this is a new, or newish referral offer because it seems like a pretty unbeatable deal for anyone considering the AMEX cards.

That looks like a very good offer reflecting on recent history. That looks like the RESY offer but with 15k more points for you and points for your girlfriend.
..and in a way gives some substance to my comment(s) here.
That's an excellent deal! I'm looking at the referral I can offer and it's just 60k MR points with the dining credit, and 30k points to me for the referral. I got this card back in Nov when I saw the Resy deal for 75k points, but maybe I should've waited just a little longer for that 90k lol
Jumped on the offer and applied. Got the 14 day message but was approved for it a few hours later into the evening with the full offer.
Overall I'm really happy with the offer we got as I've been searching around online since and this seems to be the max offer I've come across.

Congratulations!
I'd glossed over that part above somewhat. It just sunk in the 3 months of 9x points for dining -- sweet deal indeed! ![]()
Congratulations on your Amex Gold approval!
