Hi @NRB525, I opened two secured cards in 2020 with them. Harley ($3000 CL) and US Bank Platinum ($500 CL). They both gradudated or upgraded in October 2021. I am unable to get CLI on them. In 2020 I opened personal checking, personal savings, business checking, personal investment, personal IRA accounts with them but have not put in lot of money in to those accounts. I have not seen any significant return out of those accounts so I maintain them and will use them in the future.
I have cleared many COs and CAs on my report and last 3 baddies should drop off my Reports some time early next year and my scores should see a boost. In the mean time I could not resisit the Rewards US Bank is giving on their Altitude Go and Cash+ cards. I have decided to put $5k into each into their secured cards and get the cards. Now they are on their way and could not wait to put some holiday spending on them and get juicy rewards. That is my story and relationship with US Bank so far. I have nothing negative to say about them. They kept their end of the baragain unlike many other secured card issuers.

Can you share any other DPs at the time of your app?

Hi @Wavester64, Not sure what DPs you are looking for. US Bank pretty much approves any one applies for their secured cards. Once the applicaiton submitted after couple of days they take the deposit from the bank account. They wait 6 days after that. If no issues then they will send an email with the approval and card will arrive 5-7 days after that. I have applied for Altitiude Go Secured card $5k limit and Cash+ Secured card $5k limit and both cards approved. That is max amount we can apply for secured cards. Usually US Bank upgrades their secured cards after 12 months.

Thanks @Red1Blue ![]()
I know I read this somewhere before and can't find it, so I'll ask again here: Is it common that the Secured Version of the Cash+ card eventually graduates to the unsecured version?

Hi @Wavester64, I would think so. In my personal experience, in 2020 I opened Harly Secured Card ($3000 CL) and US Bank Platinum Card ($500CL). In October 2021 I called them and requested them to upgrade the cards. They upgraded both cards to unsecured and same day they mailed me the check for deposit amount. From what I read and my personal experience US Bank graduates their secured cards after 12 months. I have couple of baddies that would drop off early next year and I should see a boost in my scores and become eligible for unsecured cards from US Bank. When I looked at the rewards these cards offering ( even secured cards) I have decided to take a plunge and apply for these secured cards. My hope is I would earn some rewards right now and eventually my cards would get upgraded in 12 months. I did not want to pass up the rewards. I have other secured cards that do not graduate or give rewards. I am going to close them soon some time next year.
