USAA has an "Offer" for my usually SD'd 'Platinum' Visa... it's for BTs at 0% until April 2018 with no fee.
I was about to do a BT to another card anyway so this will work out well, and will save a little money. Since I plan to carry the balance through the year my chances at getting a CLI later on might not be optimal, so I figured I would see about getting a bump now.
Previous CL was $8400, new CL is $12k.
I opened the account Nov 2015 with a SL of $7k, which was very generous at the time considering I still had a couple of old baddies reporting and my largest credit line at the time was Capital One at $1900.
I'll always give USAA credit for 'jump starting' my rebuild, and if it weren't for them I doubt I would be where I am now.
This account got an auto-CLI to $8400 when it was around a year old; during that time I used it heavily and carried a balance (there was a 0% new account promo). There has been no movement since then, and this is my first CLI request.
It was a HP (they disclose that it is) and my EQ FICO 8 as of two days ago is 741 (my lowest), but USAA doesn't use FICO 8 and historically the version they use is always a bit lower (I found this out when I was approved for the Limitless). In any case, for a card that has seen less than $100 in swipes in the last 12 months (possibly longer) I'm pleased with the outcome.
Hopefully these data points will be helpful. ![]()
Congrats, and thanks for sharing the data points. USAA has always been hit or miss to me but i'm glad they have and are treating you good.

Thanks!
They are a strange bird, indeed. They approved me for a new card with a $7k SL in 2015 with a thin, dirty file, but last month with scores 70+ points higher they approved my Limitless for $5500 (and the highest APR). ![]()
I'm not even going to bother with a CLI request on the Limitless until after the BT is PIF, which will be next spring (and there's no link for me to get one now... I've already checked... LOL). Since I'll keep the Limitless PIF anyway it's OK where it is. (I'm the first to admit it's hard not to always be pushing for more, more!)
There aren't too many data points around on USAA, so hopefully somebody will get some use from this info. ![]()
Congrats UncleB. Although USAA gave me my first "big boy" limit of $11K when I started my rebuild 3.5 years ago, they've been hit or miss (more miss) with me on CLIs every since. After numerous wasted HP's between April 14" and Juily 16' they finally approved the July one last Summer. But when I took another HP to get one in January--Zilch. I've decided no more HP's for them until June 2018--until then my $19K limit will have to suffice.

Congratulations, UncleB - I'm very glad to hear this news. I know that USAA has not always been the easiest to predict in your journey with them, and I'm pleased to hear that they are being good to you! ![]()
