I have been a USAA member for years. I have always had a excellent relationship with them with personal loans, secures credit card and auto loans. I have had their secured card for about 4 years. I got it to help rebuild my credit after being not very credit wise in my younger years.
I called them yesterday and asked them about a personal loan and i was approved. I then spoke with them about the Visa Cash Rewards card. They pulled all my info and i was approved for $5k @ 12.99%
They do use Fico 3 experian to pull. I was surprise i was approved for the amount i was due to my Fico 3 EX only being 674. The only one complaint i have so far with USAA is their insurance rates. They are sky high compared to others.
Liability insurance only on a 2003 hinda civic they were quoting me at almost $639 every 6 months. Went with progressive for the same coverage for $280 every 6 months. Thats just a comparison of how high their insurance rates are
