USAA World Traveler Platinum MC Approved!

Well, I'm suppose to be in the garden because I was just recently approved for two 10K credit cards through NFCU. Last night I just felt froggy and wanted to see if I could be approved for a USAA credit card which until last night I though was impossible. I applied for their world traveler card and was instantly approved for 7K. Now...before I go back to the garden would it be too much to apply for another card through them?

No one will know until you apply. In the past 3 months, I have gotten 5 new credit cards and 2 new banking accounts. So it's really hard to say. Also, even if you are approved, they might give you a low limit. It happened to me for my second NFCU card. I have learned my lesson and I would wait at lease 6 months before I apply again if I were you.

Might be a lower limit but if they approve one they usually approve the other.  Congrats!  I love them!

last year my husband applied for usaa MC and was approved for 6500, which at the time- proved to be 1K over his highest line, a Citi card.  He apped for the Amex as well same day and got the amex approved off the same hard pull as the MC and it came with the same limit. 

Yesterday I logged into my account with them and got a pre-approval notice in my messages, I apped for the Amex and recieved 7K. 

This is 1K over my largest line.  I then did the same thing with my line, I apped for the MC and got approved for the same limit as the amex.  Now I can take myself off my husbands lines as an AU.  There most definetly is a method to the madness here.  I have not checked my reports yet, but im betting they are both off the one hard pull.
