Hey everyone,

Decided to apply for the Uber Visa Card today, figuring I would have a decent chance of getting approved. I filled out the application through the Uber app since I couldn't find any type of application online, and was given the "Your application is under review. We will notify you within 30 days of our decision." After checking the status, it showed declined. So I decided to call the Credit Analyst number under the backdoor numbers post, and talked to an UW almost instantly, which he just verified my information, asked a few questions about my credit file, then said to me, "Oh, so we're always delighted to extend credit out to new customers, and I have approved you for a $2,500 limit." I was immediately like, YES! Being a college student 75% of my spenditure is done on campus for food, so this gives me a good reason to use this card for dining.

Tip of advice, if you're denied through Barclays, call the recon line! They were very nice and very easy to talk to, and it was at most a 6 minute phone call. It was very quick and worth getting a credit line for the hard pull.

My current FICO scores are given below, probably plus or minus one or two points since the hard pull.

FICO Scores (current as of November 24, 2020): Equifax: 740 | Experian: 751 | TransUnion: 732

Congrats on the card! It really is quite amazing how fast that 4% can add up. We'll see how many of your friends want you to buy them a beer on it now.
