Congrats on a successful recon!
As for CLIs, Barclays usually does HP if you request. However, you may want to call after 6-7 statements to see if you have any offers on your account, as there are sometimes SP CLIs available.

Yeah, he told me it's usually an HP. You mentioned offers on my account, can you elaborate? And would I call the same number for the credit analyst or the one on my card? Thanks!!

What most people typically do is to call the regular CS line and ask if they have any offers to lower their APR. If the CSR sees something, they'll transfer you to a credit analyst. Once you get them, you can ask if you have any other offers on your account. If you have an SP CLI available, they'll advise you.

That's awesome information. Thank you so much for enlightening me! I will make a note to do this around September or so. :-) It's only my "food" card, but would be nice to have more wiggle room. ![]()
Is there anyway to PC to this from Sallie Mae (Which Is no longer useful to me....)

IIRC, that's not currently an option. I believe they could PC to the Rewards version but not UBER. You can call them if anything, but Barclay's isn't really known for PCs, upgrades/downgrades to the same product or family of cards, yes.

I followed through on this and they did lower my APR by 1%. Not that it makes a big difference since I PIF each month, but it was nice that I at least had that offer. I inquired about other offers and sadly, no offer to raise my CL from the $500.00 mark. I was given the scripting of that they do review accounts from time to time, but otherwise, it would be a HP and subject credit approval. I didn't go for it. I'll just keep using it for all my food and reaping the wonderful 4% rewards on it. I don't use it for anything else. ![]()
Congrats on your approval !!!

Hehehe, well it was a while ago and no SP offer, but I do like saving a percent because at least they like me a little. LOL ![]()
