I have 12 inquiries in the last year with 5 from a mortgage refi and 4 from an auto loan.
I just did the same thing, started with 5500, at 3 months I requested 11k total and was approved. Yesterday after reading your thread I went back and asked for 20k and they countered with 17k. I took it and ran! Thank for this thread as it reminded me that I need to shoot for the moon.
