I received an email from Amex if I wanted to upgrade my Ascend that I've had over 14 months to the Aspire. They also offered 150K bonus with $4K in spend. I debated on this for a few days and the perks just made too much sense for me.
My cl was $5,000 and they upped it to $10k.
Benefits I plan to take advantage of right away.
$250 in airline credits for December (Delta gift cards still work for this.)
$250 in airline credits for January
Hotel credits, I believe some of these will get credited back with gift cards so i'll be doing some research on this one.

I debated this for a minute but we travel a bit and like to stay in Hilton. After all the perks and credits, the AF doesn't seem so bad now.

Pretty much. Most of my spend has been going to my Amex gold and last month to meet my msr’s for the two new Citi cards i picked up.
