WTG! UncleB.
Your BBR approval #2 just woke me up to planning to app another one to schedule in about another month or two.
BofA is really stable and dependable once you build that history with them. They will bend over backwards to please.
Nice Move!
Congrats Uncle B! You got the WEMC! Great! Hope to be following you soon.
And congrats on the second BBR!!!

Thanks so much my friend! ![]()
I admit I was hesitant, but now that I don't have to keep the AAA Visa in my thoughts any longer I figured 'what the heck', and while I felt pretty good about being approved I'm especially pleased with their generosity this time around... the SL on this BBR is even higher than the SL on the first one! ![]()
Thanks as always for your kind words and advice, and congrats on your own recent BoA conquests! ![]()

I openly admit that I'm not likely to use the WEMC bennies right away, but I'm glad to have them around for when the time comes! (This is my first card with the 'silver balls'... LOL) ![]()
Thanks again! ![]()
Congrats UncleB on two very nice approvals... I have wanted the "silver balls" WEMC from cap1, but have held off as have quite a bit exposure with them. With regards to the the BBR, you can't go wrong! This card is sooooo underestimated it is actually a fantastic cashback card depending on how much spend you put on it. Based on spend it blows any 2% CB card away unless of course their is a sign-on bonus attached to said 2% CB card. I hope BofA doesn't nerf/change it. Funny thing is they asked me when I activated it and also saw my merrill recent approval along with my existing 3-2-1 card what the purpose was as I think I was speaking to an analyst and had to pull some B.S out of my behind of what the purpose of each card was. I could of told him to kick rocks, but felt that would of been counter productive

Hang in there my friend... just a few years ago I was where you are now, only not nearly as well off because I didn't have the good people here helping me out. Trust me, the time will pass before you know it and you'll be able to get any card you want! ![]()

I owe you many thanks here, but especially for the encouragement to get the second BBR.
I completely agree that it's worth is greatly understated on here; it's potentially worth much more than the $100 it's lauded for. I know exactly what you mean about answering the question about why you got the card... I had the same happen when I activated the first one, and if I have to call for this one I'll be ready with something 'correct' to say... LOL. (Last time I mentioned it was for a BT, but that won't fly this time since I already have one... I'll think of something "proper" just in case... LOL).
The 'silver balls' themselves won't be of much use right away (if ever) but it's nice to know that option is there should I need it. It's funny that at one time I was afraid of being without a MasterCard branded card, but as it's turned out I've actually ended up heavy on MasterCards! (I'm not "truly" concerned about that, it's just something I noticed...)
My only thought is that at some point BoA will note that a subset of their customers have doubled up (and even tripled or more) on the BBR and they will decide to limit the statement credit to one per customer (making duplicate cards useless). I'm hoping this doesn't happen, but if they do decide to 'nerf' it I suspect that will be how they do so. Much like Blispay, though, I'm not going to be too concerned about it, and in any case I plan to enjoy it while it lasts, for as long as it lasts, and hope for the best. ![]()

Awesome way to go! You got a card that has tempted me occasionally, the Venture! I find it curious how Cap One seems to be tilting more toward Mastercard, so it seems all Ventures are issued as Mastercards now? The BBR is such a unique card, congrats. As a side note, it's not just Cap One, but BofA too, their basic BankAmericard used to be a Visa, now its a mastercard.

The Venture has tempted me for a while as well... but until now I've always had other things I wanted just a little bit more... LOL. Actually, back when I apped for my current QS Visa Signature I would have gone for the Venture had I known then what I know now (namely that the bonus is better). That's OK, though... I got there eventually!
Before the first year is up I'll either combine it with my existing MasterCard or (more likely) have it PC'd to a QS WEMC to avoid the AF. Unless somebody needs the 0% new account promo that comes with a new QS the Venture is clearly the better card to apply for regardless of which one you want to end up with.
I agree with what you're saying about some issuers leaning more toward MasterCard lately, even though overall Visa is still 'king', especially with debit cards. I can remember vividly how 'back in the day' there was usually a check box on applications and you would select which brand you preferred... most cards came as either. Now that's a thing of the past, though, with most banks in one 'camp' or the other, and a few like Chase with mostly one but with a few exceptions (I ended up with one of Chase's 'exception' cards... the IHG). I guess as long as it 'works' when I need it I really don't care, although for those few times when one is preferred over the other it's nice to have a choice. ![]()
