Congrats and very surprising indeed, it’s a great card IMO, I’ve had mine since 6/2019 and have earned over 850 in cash back with the SUB. It’s definitely my daily driver! Like others have said though freeze the apping chase did multiple sp’s before I got my card and several times afterwards...
Thanks for the tip - definitely going to hold off for a while regardless, but just out of curiousity, what are they looking for and what would they do? Reduce limit? Close account? If they see activity they don’t like, particularly new accounts, they will shut down your card so fast it will make your head spin. They are one of the most skittish lenders around.
Thanks, I certainly hope not. From poking around online it sounds like it could be triggered fairly easily, especially with those with fringe scores like mine. I guess we'll see

It’s something we see quite a bit of around here as I’m sure you can imagine given how many of us have signatures so filled with cards they take up more room than our average text in our posts does.

Ok, well now I'm worried - so I applied and was approved for the Apple Card last month, and I got an Amex card a few days ago. Obviously these are not yet visible on my credit report. Now I'm scared that once these new accounts are reported it will cause chase to close my CSP. Is there anything that I can do to help my chances of this not happening? By the way, the CSP will put me at 6/24 once it hits. There is an account hitting 25 months on October 1st.
Side note, I notice you don't have any Chase cards, just curious if there's a particular reason why not. Thanks in advance.

The best chance you have is to just lie low and not bring attention to yourself. Don’t hit the SUB too quickly and don’t apply for any new cards. Chase will see the HPs for the Apple Card and AMEX and the open date and may be okay with those, just no more.
I dont have any Chase because I had a BK7 in 2010 and Chase doesn’t allow BK applicants at all. I have signed up for Credit Journey and when my BK falls next year I’ll jump on a Freedom if they offer it to me.
Congrats !
Congratulations on your approval!!!
