SO i was suppose to be in the garden till mid next year.... I have failed yet again. I previously posted about my long mission of getting my CSP in branch pre approval. I Have had the card for a few weeks now and almost at the $4k spend requirement due to moving all my charges over to it. Two nights ago my DW and I were planning our christmas vacation and one of the stops we are making is at the Ritz in Boston. 90% of the time we stay at a Marriot hotel or its partner properties. I had been looking at the RItz card to replace the AMEX spg card after the Marriot merger.The Ritz card paired with my AMEX PLAT meets my travel needs perfectly. I digress.
So if you read my CSP approval post you will see that I thought it was a long shot even with an inbranch pre-approval as I was way over 5/24 (9/24) and my scores were barely over 680 fico 8 across EQ TU EX.
Needless to say as we were planning the trip I got itchy fingers and sent the app. I had ZERO I mean ZERO expectations of getting approved.
Received the 30 day message and figured I would just call in a few days and hear the robo lady tell me "7-10 days"
After some trip budgeting and flight checking I checked my online chase account roughly an hour later and will you look at that......
A new Ritz card with a $10k SL was sitting there all nice and comfortable under my CSP card.
Literally shocked beyond belief. The other intersting thing is that there has been no HP on any of the bureaus. but my HP for the CSP was over 3 weeks ago.
Was considering calling in to see about pushing the SL to $15k but not sure.
