Even the store card will grow over time. During a recent rebuild, mine started at the same limit and auto-CLI around 4 months time. You can also have both store card and MC version simultaneously. I checked the pre-approval button a few months afterwards and the MC version popped up.

ime, this was a card that you could get CLIs but you gotta focus on your overall credit and score. once you are around 670/680 FICO and have a 2000+ limit on this card, it should be able to graduate to the MC version.

maybe you need to focus on your overall credit? while banks have been prohibited from engaging in "universal default" they still will soft pull you often to determine CLIs and AA if warranted.
