This one shocked me a little bit because I had heard that Wells Fargo could be pretty conservative when it comes to new customers, I went on a mini app spree, and was getting approvals for low limits due to me not having any recent credit history. My data points are as follows EX 780, TU 772, EQ 758, 15 year AAOA due to being an authorized user on two of my grandad's old authorized user accounts, recent approvals include Gemini Webbank credit card SL $2000 hard pulled Experian, Redstone Federal Credit Union Traditional $1500 hard pulled Experian, Wings Federal Credit Union Denied(Haven't recieved the letter but possibly due to no recent tradeline history) hard pulled Experian, Chase Amazon Visa SL $800 hard pulled Transunion I believe. I recently opened a up a checking account two days after the credit application so no prior history with Wells Fargo. Orginally, I apped for this credit accidentally I went on Wells Fargo website attempting to do a pre-qualification to check for credit offers, when I get a notification from credit karma that a hard pull was done on my credit, I check to see Wells Fargo had hardpulled my Transunion report. I get an email saying that "We've received your application for the Wells Fargo Active Cash Visa® Card, and we'll need more time to review it." I gave it a couple of days but after a couple of days, I decided to call number for Wells Fargo customer service, and asked to speak to the credit card department, he stated that I had not been denied and it is currently in "pending" status they needed some documents to verify my identity. They asked for two Utility Bills and a copy of my Driver's License, which I faxed in the same day. A couple of hours later, I recieved a decision on my application, I get an email saying "After carefully reviewing your Wells Fargo Active Cash Visa® Card application, we can't provide you with a credit card at this time." "You'll receive a letter from us in the next 30 days with more information about why we couldn't approve your application." I thought it was a loss, but I figured wth, I already took a hard pull, so I called Wells Fargo's Customer Service number, who then transferred me to the credit department, and I spoke with a representative who told me that the reason for the denial was because one of my Utility bills couldn't be accepted because it was missing pages, and when I resubmitted the utility bill they would then review it for reconsideration, so I faxed in the Utility Bill again, this time with the missing pages attached, and waited about 4 hours then called again to speak with the reconsideration department to check a make sure they have received it, the nice representative lady on the phone said it usually takes 24 hours to show up in their system, but she can check and see if they have recieved it. She confirmed that they recieved documents today, and right after she said that I get a congrats email stating that I was approved for the Wells Fargo Active Cash Card with 10,000 credit limit. I was shocked at the limit, considering that I haven't had any open credit accounts since June 2023, and I was getting low limits from other creditors but I will take it! Wells Fargo have found a loyal customer in me going foward! Anyways, I just wanted to share the good news. I wanted to upload a photo of the approval but I couldn't figure out how to do it lol.
Glad it worked out
That’s Terrific!! Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
Congratulations on all of your recent approvals, especially your nice one from Wells!
Congrats on the WF approval. WF doesn't like people with tons of credit kinda like Cap1 althoug different. Enjoy the very nice limit.
Congrats on your awesome approval with Wells Fargo! 🎉🍾

Congrats on your WF approval!
Congratulations on your Wells Fargo Active Cash approval!
Congrats. I did not have any luck at Wells. I bank with them too. I should have asked for a credit card while I was sitting with the banker while I opened a new account. They had a 4.6 APY for savings so they are paying me for now.
